Nutrition Therapy & Dining Services

A resident's nutritional well-being is critical for recovery, wound healing, and optimal preventative health. Our registered dietitian monitors each residents' weight, hydration and nutritional status throughout their stay with us.  Working closely with nursing staff and speech therapists, our dietitian supervises physician ordered diet modifications, including therapeutic supplements and tube feedings, to meet the specialized needs of each resident. 

We offer a selective menu, featuring delicious home-cooked meals, designed to provide variety and meet individual food and beverage preferences. Residents are encouraged to enjoy meals and snacks in one of our two attractive dining rooms. We find that the company of friends during mealtime stimulates appetite, promotes socialization, and makes meal-time a highlight of the day. In-room dining is also available by request or special need. 

Social Services

The services of our social worker  are provided to each resident and family from admission through discharge. We understand that admission to a nursing facility or a transition back home following rehabilitation often presents challenges and is stressful. Our social worker works closely with both residents and families to ensure a smooth transition to our community, coordinate care plan conferences throughout a residents' stay, and assist with planning for discharge.

Recreational Activities

Under the guidance of our activity director, a wide variety of group and individual activities compliment each residents' plan of care to meet  emotional, social and spiritual needs. Special events are held throughout the year to foster family relationships and create a sense of community. Whether it's continuing a long-established hobby, attending a church service, enjoying music or learning something new, there's something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.

A dedicated group of volunteers, who contribute more than 1,800 hours each year, graciously share their time and talent to entertain and enrich the lives of our residents.
