Debbie Ramsey, LPN
Debbie Ramsey, LPN, began her career as a Superior Care Home nursing assistant after graduating from high school nineteen years ago. Not unlike many new, young employees, her priority at that time was gaining experience to build her résumé. Quickly, she discovered a love of working with the elderly and a desire to continue her nursing education. While working as a nursing assistant, she enrolled in nursing school and received her LPN license. Married to husband John, also an LPN at Superior Care Home, Debbie is a loving mom to her 6-year-old son, Harrison.
When asked why she has a passion for skilled nursing care, Debbie thoughtfully says, “I love the residents and everything they have to give. Each day, by listening to their stories and their advice, they teach me valuable life lessons. When it comes to nursing, you can’t just do it for the money. To be a good nurse, you have to truly care and relate to people.”
After 19 years Debbie would never consider working anywhere but Superior Care Home. “We are the best staffed and offer the best care of any facility in this area. I work beside great co-workers. I love the elderly. I can’t imagine working anywhere else.”
